BERLYN is a 20-something Novocastrian singer songwriter - returning in 2022 with her fourth studio single, Take My Time. Presenting similar sonic notes to LAUREL, Middle Kids and Wolf Alice, BERLYN’s music is self-assured, energetic and emotive. Originally from Tamworth she spent her childhood writing songs that wouldn’t leave her parent’s farm- before realising that maybe the artist dream wasn’t so far-fetched.

With a playful, dynamic delivery BERLYN’s alluring vocal performance draws the listener in on Take My Time with a sultry matter of fact-ness backed by anthemic choruses and swelling, groovy, indie vibes. Take My Time provides an emotive sonic depiction of complex love with BERLYN stating: The track is about gravitating towards someone you aren’t meant to be with. Either there’s a history you know of that should be avoided, or there’s another person in the picture, or you know there is a 99% chance this will go belly up - but there’s an exhilaration in pushing boundaries - BERLYN

Following the release of Take My Time BERLYN plans to expand on the successes of 2021 (including Triple J radio play, 3K+ monthly listeners) with a host of singles and live performances including recent performances at The Cambridge, Grooves on the Green and at the Sea Shepherd fundraiser hosted by 4 Pines Brewery and Queens Wharf Hotel in Newcastle.
